Guayo Cedeño & Coco Bar

The Latino Surf Guitar From Honduras

Small wonder that Guayo Cedeño from Honduras is considered Central America’s foremost guitarist; the talent runs in the family. He absorbed the instrument from an early age watching his guitarist father’s band, The Robbins , Honduras’ legendary beat group of the 60’ and 70’ . Guayo has carried the legacy further, becoming internationally known through his work with Andy Palacio & The Garifuna Collective an Aurelio Martinez , as well as gracing the stages of jazz festivals with his big band or in his Jazz trio, ripping blistering flurries of notes from his guitar with passionate authority. For his upcoming album “Coco Bar” which will be released in the spring of 2015, he’s going back to the roots he learnt from his father , reinventing the twangy sound of a latin guitar-boogie combo with a contemporary edge. Guayo Cedeño will be touring with his band “Coco Bar” in the summer 2015 in Europe.
